Biography
Zjana Muraro is a Bulgarian-American independent dance artist, performer and teacher currently splitting time between London and New York. Resident artist in international art programs and a visiting/guest lecturer in university settings, she’s been creating dance works presented in the USA, UK and Europe. American dance performance credits include The Hartford Ballet, Cleveland Repertory Project, Time Lapse Dance, commercial credits dancing with musical artists Shaggy and Sonic Youth, working with artist Scott Snnible and director Harmony Korine. In Israel dance credits include performing the work of KCDC, Vertigo, and Roy Assaf. She was a choreographer in the Bessie Schonberg Composition Lab at Dance Theater Workshop (now New York Live Arts) and her choreography has been commissioned by the Lund Dance Theater, CalArts in California. She holds an MA from NYU, Tisch School of the Arts in New York, 2015 and is currently pursuing an MFA at Trinity Laban in London.
